Big Walk to Little Schools
“The visit was very informative. The children enjoyed joining in with the drawing and they liked learning about your books and how you came up with the ideas for them. It’s great to have the opportunity for our children to meet a real author and to be inspired by the stories you shared. Good luck on your big walk!”
I am very excited to be setting off on an ambitious journey to share my books in schools and libraries, walking from Cornwall to the Scottish Isles, over time.
In FREE author events made possible by Art’s Council Lottery Grant Funding for Phase 1 from Cornwall to my home Hay-on-Wye by June 2026, I will share my books on nature and conservation, connecting children with creative drawing and writing projects along the way.
Huge thanks to Amy Husband illustrator of our Story of series for my fabulous logo; to Bloomsbury Publishing (UK), Otter-Barry Books and Frances Lincoln Children’s Books for support and free books for all participating schools.
