Royal Society book prize shortlist!
Fourteen Wolves shortlisted for the Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize
I am so proud and absolutely thrilled that Fourteen Wolves, illustrated by Jenni Desmond and published by Bloomsbury has been shortlisted for this prestigious award. And all the more exciting that the final decision will be made by school children - announced in March 2023. All shortlisted books are being sent out to 700 schools and children will choose the final winner, the best judges of all. This is what the Royal Society judges had to say about Fourteen Wolves…
Evolutionary biologist and children’s author Dr Tiffany Taylor said: “This book tells the story of rewilding through a family of wolves in Yellowstone National Park. The story is filled with danger, tragedy and hope which I am sure will grip the young judges. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, and my daughter begged for me to read it to her over and over again.”
